Some of this weeks failed items

As Portable Appliance Testing engineers, we come across many items that fail at the very first step, a visual inspection, yet are still being used in the workplace.


These could be removed from service earlier and the potential for any accidents or fires be significantly reduced simply by educating your workforce on the dangers of using unsafe electrical items and encouraging the reporting and removing these appliances. This should be standard practice in every workplace. Unfortunately this is not the case and many

employees simply carry on regardless.
